ITIL Change Management

The ITIL concept is centered around IT services as opposed to IT systems. ITIL has been criticized on several fronts.

The Foundation Exam is a one-hour, multiple choice exam. The Problem Control Process aims to handle problems in an efficient way. IT-IT-Service Management Consultant IT Service Management is about delivering information technology as a set of services to the business customer.

An option is needed for critical services that cannot be down for any length of time. A `problem' is an unknown underlying cause of one or more incidents, and a `known error' is a problem that is successfully diagnosed and for which either a work-around or a permanent resolution has been identified.

Given the huge number of laptops, pda's, phones and other such items--including ones with state secrets--that are left in taxis each day, it would be best to always completely power down if you aren't actually using the machine.
